With so much going on in the A-T-L, it’s kinda’ hard not to find shiz that’s fun as hell.
What? Sorry I was listening to “Gin and Juice” earlier (#FlashbackFriday y’all).
ANYWAY, I have some gems for my Atlanta folk, all of which come with discounts or incentives. I didn’t plan for all these event organizers to throw promo codes my way, but I guess they know Witty + Pretty readers are the type of charming, fun, beautiful people they want at their events, so here we are. I’M NOT BEING SARCASTIC FOR ONCE SO TAKE THE COMPLIMENT.
Ok then.
Taste of Atlanta
This event has been around forever (well, 13 years), but I have a friend “on the inside” and she assures me this year is going to be cooler than ever. It’s next weekend (October 24-26), and in addition to delicious food from basically every restaurant in town, there are four live cooking stages, a Throwdown Tent hosted by my pal Mara Davis where chefs will be going head to head in events like the “Meat Brawl” and “Taco Takedown” (I will be front and center for that, don’t get it twisted), boozy VIP experiences, a family food zone (bring your kids or stop by to remember why you don’t have any), and more. The best part—it’s in the heart of Midtown during one of the most beautiful times of year in our glorious city. So gals, put on your boots and jeggings (you’ll need the elastic for this one); and guys, wear a belt you can loosen and hoof it down to this hootenanny.
General admission tickets are $25; VIP are $75,, and you can use promo code TASTE for $5 off tickets through October 20.
Krog Masquerade If you’ve ever driven/biked/ran for your life through the Krog Street Tunnel, you’ve definitely thought, “This is badass…but also a little scary.” Well get ready to think that ALL NIGHT LONG because there’s about to be a damn masquerade ball in the iconic tunnel next Saturday, October 25.
The theme is sultry-taboo-European-avant-garde masquerade and I can only imagine how F’ing cool this is going to be (DJ, peep shows, burlesque, etc.). Masks are required (pick one up at Costumes Etc. or one of the 239472934734 temporary Halloween stores in town on the cheap), but just be careful you don’t get tricked instead of treated like I did in ’08. YOU KNOW WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT.
Promo code for 20% off all tickets (general admission, general admission, with drank tickets, VIP) is wittyandpretty20 via Freshtix.
A Social Mess Halloween Party #5
It wouldn’t be Halloween in Atlanta without this disaster doozy of a party. The Social Mess throwdown at the Buckhead Theatre is always one of my favorite nights of the year, and this one will be better than ever because IT’S ACTUALLY ON HALLOWEEN. Sweet Jesus, they’re pulling out all the stops for this humdinger, and by stops I mean multiple DJs, TWO bands, and per the website: “costume contest, kissing booths, lasers, wigs, poor morals, chicks in hot cop costumes, dudes with chest muscles, tents and enough Bud Light, and Pinnacle Vodka to feed India and Northern Cambodia.”
What they WON’T have at the party: Ebola (hopefully).
This year is also extra special because it’s on Friday night which means you can wake up still drunk on Saturday, go to brunch (read: start day drinking) and get completely and hilariously shitfaced all over again and STILL HAVE A FULL DAY TO RECOVER BEFORE WORK ON MONDAY. Did anyone just orgasm or was it just me?
Last year my friends and I were ratchet Disney princesses and I cannot WAIT to reveal my costume for this year.
Promo code HESS gets you a discount and an awkward side hug (find me at the party for the latter). Click HERE for tickets.

Flywheel Challenge
Now that we covered partying your ass off, eating your face off, and more partying your ass off, let’s talk about how you’re NOT going to pack on those extra 10 (or 40) holiday pounds starting in November. Some of you may start giving zero f*cks about diet and exercise November 1, but I like to keep it skinny(ish) until Thanksgiving then just go H.A.M (literally) from Black Friday until New Year’s. I digress.
Flywheel Sports is doing its first ever Flywheel Challenge from October 26 – November 23, where you’ll work it out with four classes weekly (16 total), get an exclusive meal plan and shopping list from renowned nutritionist/author Heather Bauer, receive a 45-minute Flywheel workshop for more efficiency on the bike and a personal instructor coach to motivate you with weekly check-ins, and do weekly weigh-ins (if you choose). I’ve talked about this workout a million times and it truly is a life and body changer. It’s intense, interval cardio at its best, and if you don’t normally do that, get ready for ridiculous results.
The package is $368 for Buckhead and $320 for Midtown (same price as a 20-pack of rides). If you think about having the workouts, the customized meal plan/shopping list, and motivational coach for a month, it’s a great deal and awesome kickstart if you’re looking to make a change in you body. Why not get in the best shape of your life BEFORE the holidays so you don’t have to be on the New Year’s health/fitness resolution train with the rest of the world when it rolls around?
Click HERE for more info and how to sign up. And incentive: For the first three people that sign up for this and email me (Ashley@witty.gilliansarah.com), I’ll hook you up with a complimentary Flywheel OR Flybarre class to use before or after the challenge.
Peace up, A-Town down,
Ashley
