I made a trip to Walmart with the challenge of stocking up on summer beauty essentials for $30. We all know $30 will get you approximately 1.5 items at Sephora (if you’re lucky), 3-5 vodka drinks at the bar (depending on where you live), 3 months of Spotify premium, or 2 Clearblue Easy tests. What?
But at Walmart, 30 dolla’ means you’re a balla. I picked up five (ALMOST six) beauty essentials to last me through the summer and beyond, all the while inhaling a bag of trail mix that I hangrily grabbed when I walked in the store and taking #WalmartBeauty selfies in the aisles. Can’t hide class, y’all.
I got home, spread out my goods, and turned on my webcam (wait, not like that)…
Just to recap the products:
1. Nivea Smooth Sensation body lotion ($5.92): Serious, long-lasting moisture sans greasiness. And the Shea butter holds onto that vacay tan.
2. Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes in ‘Night Calming’ ($5.97): Keep these in your bedside drawer next to your…never mind.
3. Dove Advanced Care anti-perspirant/deodorant in ‘Caring Coconut’ ($4.88): Do you want your armpits to smell like nature’s most majestical bounty? DUH.
4. Revlon Super Lustrous Creme lipstick in ‘Love That Red’ ($4.97): Everyone, GET THIS LIPSTICK. It’s so silky smooth, is the magical shade that looks fab on all faces, and is comparable to other BOSS red lipsticks, but a fraction of the price.
5. CoverGirl Bombshell Shineshadow in ‘Copper Fling’ ($6.94): Eyelids done in under six seconds? Yes please.
For the record, the trail mix was $4.98 for a giant bag. It will be gone in 48 hours. Ok, 24.
